Time Apart

When I look back, I see not the golden thread of time, with its million branches of what could’ve been or should’ve been

I see not a road that stretches ever behind, with time, worn and faded by the setting sun

The time I’ve spent with you... Oh! it’s not a line!

I see the night sky and in it, a million stars shine

As I gaze upon this vast expanse, I put all my doubts to rest, for I’m afraid I can’t figure out any single star that shines best.

Every moment with you is a shining star, and every moment apart is a void that stretches afar!
