Two Brothers
16 July 2026
Pretentious and presumptuous The two of us In an eternal tug of war march on
Two peas in a pod Or a pot of petrol prone to pop?
Perchance we pray to swap The other one to our side And in madness see them sway In opposite direction far away
Like the earth and moon Tugging on the high seas Giving rise to the tumultuous tides Wrecking ships and chairs alike
Why can’t we reconcile Come together to one side So different is each other’s view we can’t ever see eye to eye
Moonrise on earth Or Earth-rise on moon Which ones the best With words won’t settle soon
The only way out I travel to the moon See the world in your lens My ultimate boon
See how the women swoon In your pretentious croon
In turn you get grounded Firmly on this earth And See how the world is like When you’re not flying high
Far from the moon From your fantasy bunny land Feel the cold hard rock We call the practical clock
